Moonshine UHMW Launches New Weekly Vlog Series

A Message from Moonshine UHMW:

We know the rollerblading industry isn’t where it used to be. Pro skaters aren’t getting pro boots, royalties, or even sent out to events to promote the product they were made professional to promote in the first place. So to combat this, effective this very second, at checkout on www.MoonshineUHMW.com when you use the code “JEREMY”, “GREG”, “KRUISE”, or “STEPHEN” 10% of the entire sale whether it be for anti rockers, freestyle blocks, hats, shirts, or in the near future, soul plates will go directly to the skater.

As if this wasn’t enough, we are starting this weekly youtube vlog. To be completely transparent we will be monetizing this youtube channel. In order to do this we need to reach 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of videos watched on our page. Proceeds from the monetization will go towards the team and tours that will be documented on the channel. We know reaching the 1000 subscriber and 4000 hours of watched videos goal will take some time to start generating any sort of income so we have also started an Amazon Affiliate account, which means that we will have links in the description of every video that will directly you to the products that we use to create the blog from camera gear to skate parts, etc. After clicking the link when you purchase anything from Amazon even if its something completely unrelated like groceries, we get a smaller percentage of that sale. That money will also be going towards tours and other things for the team, Moonshine will not be pocketing any of it.

If you didn’t know, all Moonshine Products are made by skaters, there are no outside vendors used to make our antis or shirts. Our products started and still are being handmade by founder Derek Moon in 2003 (50 years old with grandkids and still shredding) with some of them now being CNC’ed by Juan Martinez in Southern California.

In 2003 Derek worked for a machine shop that made stuff out of plastic. At the time our local Northern California ledge spots were all rough or chunky and it would wear down our skates really fast. One day Derek came to the skate park with soul plates he made out of the UHMW plastic his work used. Months later the first Moonshine Anti Rocker was made and Derek, out of his own pocket, sponsored Juan and his group of friends since they all skated hard but really couldn’t afford to buy new parts all the time. Eventually we saw that there were other people just like us that couldn’t afford to spend big money on buying new skates or parts so we decided to make Moonshine a company. Since then we always try to keep our prices as low as possible while making a product that lasts twice as long, if not longer, than anything else on the market and give back to skaters especially, ones like me and my group of friends growing up.

To support your favorite skater, use code:
