UPDATE 7:49am EDT July 26th: Text taken from an update to the gofundme.com fundraiser:

We still have no news until the doctor arrives at 6am (California time) but we have some very good help in Peru. The amount of support for Rob has been unbelievable.

UPDATE 12:40am EDT July 26th: Text taken from the gofundme.com page set up by Lonnie Gallegos on behalf of Robert Guerrero:

"Rob G is one of the kindest people you might ever meet. He is a native of San Jose, CA that works deep in the jungles of Peru at a spiritual retreat to help people work through trauma and mental issues. While on a retreat in the Iquitos jungle, a drunken man who was causing trouble nearby shot Rob in the head at close range.

This happened far from any medical help. He is now stable and at a small local hospital, but due to the injuries he sustained they have placed him in a medically induced coma. He needs to be transferred to a hospital in Lima to receive the proper medical care that can remove the bullet fragments from his head. The transfer alone is set to cost $20,000. Physical therapy and rehabilitation can get into the hundreds of thousands.

A professional Inline skater for well over 10 years, Rob is beloved by virtually everyone who has ever met him through his travels around the world. This fund is setup to help Rob get the proper medical attention as well as getting his family to Peru to be with him." - Lonnie Gallegos
